Incorporating multiple aspects of the natural world, Golden Ratios celebrates harmonious connections between land and sea through combining lively larger than life mushrooms with the epic and engulfing tentacles of the enigmatic octopus.
This piece also includes a unique technique adopted by the artist of sprinkling sea salt onto the wet watercolour pigment for a textured effect to be achieved as the pigment dries. Finally, the golden yellow limbs of the octopus contrast starkly against the deep blue of its body to give the piece its uncanny name, Golden Ratios.
