Lead & They Will Follow - 41”x 29”
Watercolour, Gel Ink & Acrylic Paint
Original size: 10”x14” (Reserved)
Lead & They Will Follow is an ode to the artist herself as a loving reminder to never stop finding the light within one’s self; for the more one remains true to their heart, the more one inspires others to do the same.
As bodies of fish swerve in confusing directions, one in particular swims away from the pack and has transformed into her higher self. Being closer and more in touch with her humanity, she confidently swims aways from the pack and into her own light. As all plant life, aquatic or terrestrial, require sunlight and water to grow and develop, the artist wittily incorporated blooming flowers to emphasise how when one discovers what makes them shine, they bloom into their true character and thus their actions lead by example for others to do the same.
